The audi e-tron is the first electric SUV from Audi and like the other SUV models in the range, it is offered in both a normal and a Sportback version. Here are the differences between the two.

Styling

The main difference between the Audi e-tron and the Audi e-tron Sportback is the shape of their roofline. The e-tron features a style that is more traditional, with proportions that are close to other SUVs in Audi’s lineup, especially the Q7. The e-tron Sportback adopts a lower roofline that tapers down at the back to give it a more distinctive look. This also makes the e-tron Sportback look more dynamic and sportier than the regular e-tron. Due to this sportier image, the e-tron Sportback is available in a S model that bumps the power to 496 horsepower, instead of the regular 402 and brings many changes to give this model a decidedly more dynamic character.

Practicality

The higher roofline of the regular e-tron gives it more head room and cargo volume, which makes it a more practical vehicle than the e-tron Sportback. The e-tron adds 71 liters of space in the cargo area to the Sportback’s already impressive figures when the seats are folded down. With all of the seats in place, you still benefit from 37 liters more space than the e-tron Sportback. The regular model is also slightly cheaper to buy, so if you are looking for the best value for your money, the e-tron might be the best choice for you.

In conclusion

If you value style and sportiness a lot, the e-tron Sportback will be a great vehicle for you, but if you are more practical minded and you need to carry lots of cargo, the e-tron will be the better choice to suit your life.
