The 2022 Audi A4 is equipped with all of the latest active and passive safety technologies, which allowed it to earn the Top Safety Pick award from the IIHS in 2021.

Audi Presense

The 2022 Audi A4 is equipped with two versions of the Presense system, Presese City and Presense Rear. The first one works by monitoring the area in front of the vehicle when it is traveling at city speeds in order to detect a collision before it occurs. When the system determines a crash is imminent, the seatbelts are tightened and the side bolsters are adjusted to help keep the occupants in place and control their movements during the collision. In addition, the front seats are repositioned and the windows and sunroof are closed in an effort to protect the people inside from injuries caused by the forces involved and by debris. The Presense Rear system works in the same way, except it is activated in case of a rear accident.

Audi Side Assist

This system, which is standard on the 2022 Audi A4, helps you see where your eyes can’t. Dedicated sensors detect when a vehicle is standing in your blind spot by monitoring an area of more than 45 meters to the rear three-quarters of the A4. When a vehicle is present in the blind spot, an indicator light on the outside mirror turns on an an audible warning is sounded If the turn signal is used while the blind spot is not clear. This avoids accidents where a driver sideswipes other vehicles that it couldn’t see due to the blind spot.

Quattro AWD

The Quattro AWD system is standard on the 2022 A4, which gives it much better driving characteristics on slippery surfaces, like snow and ice. This is due to the ability of the Quattro system to send power and torque to the specific wheels that can provide the best traction in all scenarios.
