Audi unveiled a very impressive new concept this week when it took the wraps off the 2023 Audi A6 Avant e-tron Concept. Avant in Audi speak means station wagon, and this is essentially the wagonized the version of the Audi A6 e-tron sedan which was unveiled last year. Measuring 195 inches in length, it is the same size as the current Audi A6 Allroad, but it is shorter and wider.

Built on the new PPE platform shared with Porsche, the Audi A6 Avant e-tron Concept is simply spectacular. It uses an 800-volt architecture which provides fast charging capability at up to 270 kW. That means that you can charge the A6 Avant 100-kWh battery from 5% to 80% in just 25 minutes. Audi says that charging for 10 minutes will add up to 300 kilometres of range.

The impressive efficiency of the Audi A6 A6 Avant e-tron can be explained in part by its remarkable drag coefficient of just 0.24.

Powering the new Audi A6 Avant e-tron Concept is a dual-motor setup that delivers 469 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque. Audi says this will propel the new A6 Avant e-tron Concept to 100 km per hour in less than 4 seconds.

There is a lot of impressive technology that we could see on future Audi models in the A6 Avant e-tron Concept. There are projectors on the side of the body to greet passengers with a message displayed on the ground or to provide warnings to oncoming cyclists or pedestrians. This projector could even be used to play videos when the vehicle is parked.

The Audi A6 Avant e-tron concept is apparently 95% close to what the production model will look like. We can't wait to see the finished product. In the meantime, if you are looking for an Audi electric vehicle today, check out the all-new Audi e-tron SUV, Audi e-tron GT, or Audi Q4 e-tron.
