Book A Test Drive

Winter has officially arrived, and many owners will be taking their new electric vehicle out in the cold and snow for the first time. If you have recently purchased a new Audi e-tron or you are about to receive your Audi Q4 e-tron, here are a few tips to optimize range in the next few months.
Keep the vehicle warm
The best way to keep your electric vehicle warm is to put it in the garage. This will keep the temperature of the battery and the cabin at an acceptable level which means that when you head out the door, you won't be using precious battery power to make the interior comfortable.
If you don't have a garage, you can use your vehicle's mobile app to warm the cabin so when you get inside you don't have to put the heat on maximum. And if you do need to use the heating system, make sure that you are only using it where it is needed. Close the vents on the passenger side if you are alone and use the heat warmer as well as the heated steering wheel.
Use the most efficient mode
Not only will putting your electric vehicle on the most efficient mode help preserve the battery, but it will also make your vehicle perform better in winter. It will provide more grip on snowy surfaces and keep your speed in a safe range for icy roads.
Don’t let the battery dip too low
If possible, try to keep your battery’s range above 50%. This will allow the battery to be more effective when used to warm up the cabin.
You also want to make sure that your tires are at the right pressure, so check them from time to time and give them some air if needed.
