A wide choice of powertrains
The Audi A4 lineup starts with the 40 TFSI model. It uses a four-cylinder, 2.0-litre turbocharged engine with an output of 201 hp and 236 lb-ft of torque. This engine is mated to a 7-speed automatic transmission which feeds the standard Quattro AWD system. This specific powertrain is not available with the A5.
The 45 TFSI powertrain is available on both models. It uses the four-cylinder, 2.0-litre unit to deliver 261 hp and 273 lb-ft of torque. This engine is also paired to a 7-speed automatic transmission and the Quattro AWD system.
The S4 and S5 models use a 3.0-litre V6 that delivers 349 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque. An 8-speed automatic transmission channels the power to the Quattro AWD system in these high-performance variants.
The RS 5 model is the crown jewel of the A5 lineup. Thanks to a 2.9-Litre twin-turbocharged V6, it delivers 444 horsepower and 443 lb-ft of torque. This powertrain also uses an 8-speed transmission and Quattro AWD.
